Images34 Award ceremony & exhibitions

I'm exhibiting as a selected artist at Images 34 - The best of British contemporary illustration.

Award Ceremony is on 7th September, and London exhibition starts from on 8th September at London College of Communication, Elephant and Castle, SE1 6SB. After London exhibition, tour goes to a major cities in the UK through 2010 & 2011. By nay chance, please come have a look at the exhibition in London.

"Botsu" means A Not Selected Work in Japanese.

It's a shame it's not being showed, so I introduce you some of my Botsu artwork.

This artwork was for a automobile art exhibition in Milan 2010, my other two illustrations were selected.

I will upload selected illustrations when the exhibition start.

３月にミラノで行われるAlfa Romeo 100周年記念祭でのエキシビションに出展する事になりました。神奈川県川崎のアルファロメオ・クラシックカー専門店「Delauto・デルオート」さんの多大なご協力を頂きました。

100年の歴史をどう描くか、また全く知識のない車をどう描くかで随分悩みましたが、デルオートさんから歴史、エンジニアリング、車種、写真まで、数々の情報とご協力を頂けた御陰で間もなく完成です。この場でお礼申し上げます。

3 of my illustrations have been selected by jury of Images 34 - The best of British contemporary illustration 2010. The book will be published in summer 2010. There will be selected artists exhibition in London in July 2010. This is one of the selected illustrations.

This book is a classic collection of poetry, containing over 300 of our favourite poems, from ‘Sumer is icumen in’ to the later poems of Yeats.

Guardian and Observer TV Ad

I was the artist on Guardian and Observer TV Ad in September 2009. The Ad promoted free copies of "The Guardian and Observer Guides to Drawing and Painting" the TV Ad was filmed by Tandem Films in London. I drew a frog, the Tandem crew edited drawing process and then played the sequence in reverse. See this Ad from here >

I was born in Japan and graduate of the prestigious Tokyo Polytechnic University of arts.
I am now resident in Ireland, and in recent years has been working as an illustrator based in Dublin.
Majority of my collectors are in London, include Cazenove Capital Management, The Folio Society, National Magazine House and Wieden+Kennedy.
